Thoughts: Dominate Fear, Not People
Key Principle
In Scripture, domination over people is condemned, but dominion over fear, sin, and the enemy is encouraged. God calls His children to walk in authority, courage, and freedom.
1. God Gave Dominion Over Creation, Not People
- “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish… the birds… and every living creature.’” (Genesis 1:28)
- Dominion = stewardship and responsibility, not control over others.
2. Dominate Fear by God’s Spirit
- “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
- Fear is not our master; faith is.
3. Dominate Darkness and the Enemy
- “I have given you authority… to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (Luke 10:19)
- Spiritual authority = resisting evil, not resisting people.
4. Dominate Sin and the Flesh
- “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.” (Romans 6:14)
- We refuse to be ruled by lust, anger, greed, or pride.
5. Dominate Hopelessness by Clinging to Christ
- “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
- We reclaim stolen joy, peace, and purpose.
6. Dominate the Fear of Public Speaking
- “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 1:8)
- “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” (Psalm 81:10)
Teaching Point:
Moses, Jeremiah, and even Paul wrestled with the fear of speaking. Yet God reminded them that He puts words in our mouths. Public speaking becomes less about our ability and more about God’s authority flowing through us.
Proclamations (Speak Aloud in Prayer)
- Lord, help me dominate fear with the courage You give.
- Lord, help me dominate doubt by standing on Your promises.
- Lord, help me dominate sin by the power of Your grace.
- Lord, help me dominate hopelessness with the hope of Christ.
- Lord, help me dominate the lies of the enemy with Your truth.
- Lord, help me dominate the fear of public speaking.
- I will not be silenced by insecurity or intimidation.
- I will speak boldly because Your Spirit gives me words.
- My voice is an instrument of truth, courage, and love.
- When I open my mouth, heaven’s wisdom flows.
Closing Thought
Domination in God’s Kingdom is not about overpowering people—it is about overcoming what seeks to overpower us. In Christ, we have the authority to rule over fear, sin, darkness, and even the trembling of our own voice, walking boldly in freedom. AMEN. Dr. Krystylle Richardson
